7.5/10 By Casey Herman on 0000-00-00

This is a 7'2" board, very manueverable, but harder to take-off on. I also have a 9'1" that I use more often and also a 6'8" Firewire that I love. My problem is that I have now been told to stop surfing for a couple of months to give my ankle time to heal, but I figure I could get a belly board and just surf catching waves on my belly for a coupla months. My question is: what sort of belly board would you recommend for someone of my weight? I've been surfing since 1964, so should be able to adapt pretty easily. Oh, except for my age, I guess, I'm not so flexible after damaging both knees in parachute and waterskiing accidents, and I slipped a disc in my lower spine about 40 years ago, although it's OK now, other than the vertebrae are now fused together, again limiting my flexibility a bit. Hmm. Thanking you in advance for any words of wisdom! :) Just don't tell me to stay out of the water!!! ;) Casey
