What are the physics of the hang ten in longboarding?

There are a number of forces all working together to hold you in place on the front of your longboard when you hang 10. Some of them include, gravity pulling you down, the buoyancy of the board pushing you up, your weight pushing down the front of the surfboard, the wave breaking pushing down the back of the surfboard, the direction of the wave moving you forward and the direction you are heading moving you sideways. Most of those are the same as whenever you are surfing but the big difference are the forces that keep you from nose diving. Basically the back of the board is kept in place with the help of the breaking wave and the fin. This allows you to walk forward and hang 10.
