What can I do if I buy the wrong surfboard?
In Beginner - Asked by Brian
Unfortunately, most of the time you're stuck with that board if you bought if off the racks at a surf shop. Sometimes if you've bought a used board, they’ll let you exchange it for a new one. Otherwise, you may have to sell it to recover some of the money that you've paid. This is why we suggest you use resources like SurfScience.com or any other website to do some research on different surf board models. Not only should you read the manufacturer’s description, you should also read the ratings and reviews from other surfers and even shapers to get some inside knowledge of their likes and dislikes. If you're buying a well known brand such as a Channel Island or a Rusty, chances are there are a ton of other surfers using that same board who would be more than happy to share their experiences with you.
