The Mako is designed for smaller less powerful surf, as well as larger surfers who want to rip. It’s slightly wider,
especially in the tail and it has a relaxed rocker with a fuller rail. This combination allows acceleration and more powerful turning in weaker surf. At first glance it might not seem too different from your regular short board but, try one 2”–3” shorter and see how fast you can go. This design has the same triple concave bottom as the Flyby.
