Becker UFO

Manufacturer Description
The UFO by Becker is another longboard classic. Built 9’0" to 9’6" and in the 23 1/4" range, the UFO offers great paddling with fantastic noseriding capabilities. Phil Becker uses exactly the same template that built the famous "Rick" UFO model he shaped in the mid-sixties. But, of course, the rails, rockers, and contours are all modern. This would be our widest contempory longboard shape. Bahne box center, and O’fish’l side fins allow you to ride a classic single fin style, or a more performance driven tri-fin set up... Just a tad of nose concave for a smooth rail to rail transition, and a little more lift for noseriding without slowing down the drive.

Nice board for small beach breaks. Not a nose rider in my opinion

I've been focusing on cross stepping - nose riding - drop knee cutbacks, i.e. soul surfing for about 3 years now....The UFO is a premier nose rider, not 3 stars - better than that... I have other boards, but this is one of my Fav's.... Stability.....You Bet!

Nice longboard for catching those small summer waves. Good for catching waves but not that great for noseriding. Triple fin so you can turn it. Glasses a bit light but it's pretty cheap for the money. The design of this board hasn't changed in years.

Not rating the board, and it looks great, but I would say it’s a bit wide and the Rick UFO didn’t have much concave under the nose; it wasn’t based upon nose riding. The Rick UFO was a step deck fore and aft and it had knife sharp rails and a deep v tail. It was a high performance longboard you could take out on big days and not so much a floater for flat days. From the side it looked like a snow ski where the thickness is greater for your ski bindings you can Stand on this thick mid section and turn it without shuffling back to the tail.
