Manufacturer Description
The Pod by Channel Island is a requirement in Dane's and Kelly's board bags, the Pod is built to fly, it will position itself into the smallest ramp and allow for a technical launch. Deep concaves with a foiled nose and a swallow tail keep the Pod lively and maintains its high performance. The “snub” nose puts volume forward, allowing
for maximum planing and wave catching. Ride this board 8” shorter, about 1 1/2” wider and about 1/8” thicker.
WHO SHOULD RIDE THIS BOARD ::
You like technical and futuristic surfing, emphasis on airs in small to medium surf.

Mine is a quad. Easy to take off, holds in the pocket when it's a bit hollow, super fast, easy to turn but i sometimes find it hard to get to the lip when the big sets come, like i loose speed or catch rail or something.

Rode a 6'2" Pod for 4 days. Paddling not great for this much foam and low rocker. Take-offs are weird from so much foam in the nose (sometimes caught me up in the lip's whitewater). Like all CI grovelers, the Pod doesn't have much "foil" - it's chunky w/ extremely full rails that make the ride "rolley" . However, it's fast, getting around crumbly sections with ease. Bottom turns to off-the-lip are ultra stable...kinda hard to fall once you get it going. Overall, the Pod is...odd.
