Walden Surfboards Mini Magic

Manufacturer Description
The Mini Magic, by Walden Surfboards is a scaled down version of the popular Magic Model. This board performs as well in slow surf as it does on speedy beach breaks. While the Mini Magic is smaller than the Magic Model, it still maneuvers well out of turns while maintaining a forgiving nature. This board also has excellent nose riding capability. An all around fun board!

I learned how to surf on this board, And for that purpose, it served me well. It paddles extremely fast, and it can catch just about any wave attempted. As I progressed, I had problems with the 3 fin set-up. It was difficult to turn and sluggish, so I replaced the fins with a 9inch single fin and then it was on! I was able to drop in on steep overhead take-offs and pump through speedy critical sections. It can surf small mushy days and heavier overhead days. It is a fun board.

Great for little waves but hard to use on big days.

A lovely cruisy board,Starting to feel a little stiff when trying to do turns. I can semi duck dive under smaller waves, but finding turtle rolling when conditions are bigger, frustrating.

7'7" funshape. Paddles easy and catches waves. Not much maneuverability.

Currently riding a funshape type board, but looking for something a little more manueverable...I'm limited by my size to a board with a lot of volume, but I long for the shortboard days of my youth.

Board surfs quick and turns easily for a larger board. 7'6". It paddles easily into waves, allows for more time to get to my feet. Favorite board, I have ridden it in everything from beach break small to point break head high.

Ride this boards with a 7" or greater single fin. The side fin inserts are too towed in and the 6" stock fin is to small. It has a bit too much tail rocker, but like all Waldens it does really well for a board with so much rocker.
