RUSTY QUAD - Overall wider template, low entry rocker and single-o-double concave design make this fishy a greedy little wave magnet. Not to mention, the three-wing, pulled-in swallow tail still allows you to surf vertically. Ride 2-4" shorter than your standard shortboard. Like its namesake, the Piranha eats most of what you put in front of it. Magic in the knee high, weak stuff yet still highly effective in punchy head high surf, barring your occasional big wave ventures.

The Surftech versions of Rusty's Piranha Quad Fin is a great board in specific conditions. It is a bit wider of a board, but isn't very thick, so there is less paddling power than you would expect. Once you take off though, this board flies. Best used in waist to shoulder high days that are slightly rolling, but it held its own at 8ft Salt Creek (a CA point break).

Great board for waves ranging from waist to 1-2' overhead. Works well at beach & reef breaks. The board makes catching waves easy & it is super fast down the line. The quad seems to work better than the thruster in my opinion.
